Tim's follow up appointment at Children's on Thursday went very well. He survived the blood draw, and shouldn't have to have another for several weeks. His chest x-ray was "stable." The fluid is mostly gone and his left lung is working much better, we're just waiting for his heart swelling to go down more. Overall, the doctor seemed very pleased - he showed no signs of labored breathing and they had a long conversation about soup. We are able to come down a little on one of his three diuretics, so that is some progress.
We will go back for another check (but no bloodwork!) on August 5th. Keep your fingers crossed that nothing "exciting" happens before then!
