Tim is finally out of the OR and in the PICU recovering. We talked with Dr. Bove who said overall he is very happy with the repair and structurally everything looks great. He does have some concerns regarding bleeding and some weakness in his left ventricle that they are going to be monitoring closely. Overall on a scale of 1 - 10 Dr. Bove rated Tim as a 7 or an 8. We won't be able to see Tim for a little while yet as they get him settled into the PICU so we're off to get some dinner with Lou with plans to visit with Tim when we get back.
We very much appreciate everyone's kind words, thoughts & prayers today and while we're through the marathon surgery we're not completely out of the woods yet so please continue to send us your positive vibes. We will post an update tomorrow once we see how things have gone overnight.
