Groovin' Right Along

I know many of you have been wondering how Tim is doing since he's been home. I can't believe it's already been a month since his surgery! I apologize for being so slow with updates, but we have all been sick, sick, sick these last few weeks. We all endured a bad cold, and Tim and mom ended up on antibiotics, but the end is in sight.

Other than that, Tim has been doing really well. His incision is healing nicely, and he doesn't seem to be in any pain except for some itching. He doesn't let too much slow him down. The only "problem" is that he is not sleeping nearly enough, but it doesn't seem to bother him at all. His mother on the other hand, is suffering!

Our visit to the cardiologist a few weeks back went well - she listened to his chest and he had an EKG. She thought he was doing quite well. We will be heading to Children's on Monday (2/25) for an echocardiogram and pacer check. The pacer check is routine, they simply put a little machine over his pacemaker and they are able to download all sorts of information. The echocardiogram, an ultrasound of his heart, will allow the doctors to see how his his heart is responding to the banding. Unless they see something out of the ordinary, we will probably not know the results of this echo until we see the cardiologist again on March 7.

Thank you to everyone who made the trek to Fuddruckers last week! I think the boys had a great time seeing all their friends. It was a real treat to see everyone.

I will try to be more timely with updates, but at our house, no news is generally good news! For the moment, we are gearing up for Lou's 4th birthday next week. He is very excited. We are also waiting, and hoping, and praying for Spring to arrive! We've had our fill of snow and cold. I also posted a couple of pictures of Tim at the barber on the Carepages site.
