Promises, Promises...

Well, it's a big fail for me. It was indeed my intent to keep this blog updated over the summer, and then our computer crashed and we were computerless for most of the summer. Trying to catch up is a little daunting, but I'll do my best.

The summer days were at times VERY long with three kids at home, but now it seems like it went by so quickly. We visited the Wisconsin Dells right after school got out in June, and had a lot of fun. The weather was warm, but not hot, so we did not go to the outdoor waterparks, but instead went on a Duck tour, mini golfing, a boat tour, and visited our favorite Wisconsin attraction, Circus World. On the one day it rained, we did visit an indoor waterpark, and everyone had a great time. It was a nice way to start the summer.

All in all, our summer was fairly quiet. It was a vast improvement from last summer, when much time was spent in and around hospitals. Instead this year Lou played tennis and went to soccer camp, and Tim played tennis and t-ball. It was Tim's first time playing any kind of organized sports, and he did pretty well. In typical fashion, he decided he was too "tired" when anything boring had to be done, but he kept up with the other kids, which was good to see. Lou really enjoyed his soccer camp, which was run by the Chicago Fire, and I think he learned some new skills.

Our Rosie keeps growing, even though we've asked her nicely to slow down so we can enjoy her being a baby a little while longer...
